For international equipment manufacturers
Your manufacturing partner in Egypt and MENA
MechaMatic represents international equipment makers across Egypt and the wider MENA region — technical sales, engineering selection, import and clearance, installation, commissioning, warranty labour and spare parts. We are a manufacturer ourselves, which means our workshop becomes your service centre, not your competitor.
What we do for a manufacturer
Not a trading desk — a fabrication company that also sells and services
We are an engineering and fabrication company that sells, installs and maintains process equipment — so representation for us means carrying your product through the whole cycle, from the first technical enquiry to the tenth year of service.
Market intelligence & tender tracking
We track public-sector and EPC tenders in our sectors and tell you what is coming before it is published.
First-pass technical selection
Our engineers size and select against the customer’s process data, in-house, before the enquiry reaches you.
Commercial negotiation in Arabic
Quotations, clarifications and negotiation handled locally, in the customer’s language and to local commercial practice.
Import, clearance & compliance
Importers Register, ACI/Nafeza advance cargo declarations, customs clearance, GOEIC inspection and release.
Factory & product registration
We handle your GOEIC factory registration filing under Decree 43/2016 and EOS conformity — the step that decides whether your containers clear customs.
Warehousing & stock
Local storage for fast-moving items and consignment stock, so your delivery time in Egypt is days, not weeks.
Installation & commissioning
Mechanical installation, alignment, hook-up and commissioning by our own site teams.
Warranty & field service
Front-line warranty labour, fault diagnosis and repair — without flying a technician from your factory.
Spare parts & aftermarket
Spares held locally, plus repair, retubing, PWHT, hydrotest and NDT in our own workshop. Aftermarket & field services
Why entering Egypt requires a local partner
Five reasons, all structural
Egypt is a large and growing market for process equipment, and it is not a market a foreign manufacturer can serve directly.
Tender eligibility
Public-sector and EPC tenders — which account for most oil, gas, petrochemical and utility spend in Egypt — require a locally registered, tender-eligible entity. Under Egypt’s Commercial Agency Law No. 120 of 1982, a foreign principal is represented through a registered Egyptian agent.
Factory registration
Under Ministerial Decree No. 43 of 2016, goods in defined product categories are released for trading purposes only if produced in a factory registered with GOEIC, or supplied by a registered trademark owner or distribution centre. Unregistered goods stop at the port.
Import mechanics
Every shipment needs an ACID number issued through the Nafeza advance cargo information system before it leaves your port, with documents exchanged electronically — mandatory for sea freight and, since 2026, for air freight.
Aftermarket expectation
Egyptian end users buy on lifetime support, not on price alone. A spare part six weeks away loses to a spare part three days away, and a warranty claim that requires a visa loses to one answered the same week.
Local financing & invoicing
End users want an invoice their bank will finance, in a structure that works with Egyptian import financing and foreign-exchange availability. That requires a local counterparty.
We already operate inside all five of these constraints, because we sell our own equipment into the same market every day.
Our engineering removes work from your desk
Most export managers aren’t short of enquiries. They’re short of engineering hours to answer them.
MechaMatic is a design-and-build company with in-house thermal and mechanical design capability. We work to ASME VIII Div. 1, TEMA R/C/B, API 650 and 620, API 660 and EN 13445, and we size and select before we ask you for anything. What reaches you is a filtered enquiry with process data organised, duty defined, materials proposed, code and inspection requirements stated, and the customer’s real decision criteria identified.
That means fewer speculative quotations, a higher hit rate on the ones you do issue, and a partner who can hold a technical conversation with an end user’s process engineer without escalating to your factory.
Codes & standards we work toOur commitment
We do not compete with the lines we represent
Where we represent a manufacturer, we do not design, fabricate or reverse-engineer products that compete with the represented line. Our workshop serves represented lines as an authorised service centre — installation, retubing, repair, post-weld heat treatment, hydrostatic testing and NDT — not as an alternative source.
We build heat exchangers, pressure vessels, storage tanks and process skids under our own name, and we say so openly. Before any agreement is signed we define in writing where our own manufacturing stops and the represented scope begins — by product type, by size range, by material, or by all three. A clear boundary is a condition of the partnership, not an afterthought to it.
- We will not register your trademark in our name. Brand registration in Egypt stays with you, and we will support the filing.
- We will not represent a directly competing line within the defined scope, for the term of the agreement.
- We will not use your technical documentation outside the represented scope. Your drawings, calculations and know-how stay inside the agreement.
Lines we represent
Nobody yet — and that is stated plainly, not hidden
We are in discussion with manufacturers in several equipment categories. Agreements in negotiation are not published. If you would like to know whether your category is already committed, ask us directly.
Categories we are currently seeking
Instrumentation & flow measurement
Pressure and temperature instruments, flow meters, orifice fittings and plates, level instruments, analysers.
Heat exchanger & vessel components
Plate and welded-plate exchangers, tube bundles, tubes, gaskets, expansion joints, separator internals, air-cooled units above our own build range.
Valves, flanges & fittings
Forged and cast valves, control valves, flanges, forged fittings — as a stocking line for a later phase.
Rotating & package equipment
Pumps, blowers, filtration and water-treatment packages — subject to a service agreement.
If your product fits Egypt’s oil and gas, petrochemical, fertiliser, water and desalination, power, food and beverage, pharmaceutical or cement sectors, it is worth a conversation.
How a partnership starts
We keep the first step small and specific
Introduction & mutual information
We send our company profile, references, financial standing and legal registrations. You send your product range, price basis and territory position. Mutual NDA if you prefer to start there.
A live opportunity
Wherever possible we open with a real, named enquiry or tender we can pursue with your product — the fastest way for both sides to find out whether this works.
Non-exclusive, with a target
A 6-to-12-month non-exclusive appointment for Egypt, against a target we commit to in writing, and agreed criteria for converting to exclusivity.
A registered agreement
On performance, an exclusive agency or distribution agreement for Egypt with non-exclusive rights in neighbouring markets — legalised, translated and registered in Egypt’s Commercial Agents Register.
We are not asking for exclusive rights across MENA on a first call, and we would be sceptical of anyone who did. We are asking for Egypt, on a target, in writing.
Start a conversation
Send us your product range and your current position in Egypt
We will come back with the market picture as we see it, the accounts we would approach first, and what we would commit to in the first twelve months.
